A 3rd Sonic movie is currently in development.
Paramount has announced that a 3rd Sonic movie is currently in development. They also announced that Idris Elba’s Knuckles is getting his own series. It will debut on Paramount+ streaming platform next year. Sonic 2 is releasing in theaters on April 8th 2022. It introduces Tails and Knuckles, both fan favorites. Jim Carrey also returns as Doctor “Eggman” Robotnik.
Synopsis
After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. He teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
