Werewolf By Night is an upcoming Marvel Studios special for Disney+.

Werewolf by Night was last evening’s secret showing at Fantastic Fest. I had the opportunity to attend and be of the first to experience Marvel Studio’s upcoming Disney+ Special. It is from first time director Michael Giacchino and will begin streaming on Disney+ on October 7th.
Synopsis
On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic. This hunt will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster. Inspired by horror films of the 1930s and 1940s, the chilling special aims to evoke a sense of dread and the macabre, with plenty of suspense and scares along the way as we explore a new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Werewolf by Night is pure horror. Marvel Studios is finally embracing the genre many of its characters live in. This is the best product that Marvel has put out this year. The special is a love letter to 50s and 60s feature creatures. The decision to film in black and white was genius and adds to the horror element of this Marvel Comic property. Even though it is far removed from the source material, what Kevin Feige and director Michael Giacchino have created for the MCU is remarkable. The boundaries are pushed when it comes to violence and blood. Sitting at 60-minutes, this classic story made for the modern age has tons of action that is complimented by a great score.
Verdict
I give Werewolf By Night 4.5 out of 5 stars. Marvel Studios nailed their first entry into the world of Horror. Do you Vouch for it? Read more Reviews on Nerdtropolis and Subscribe to our YouTube.
