Viola Davis announces at Grammys, “I just EGOT.”

Viola Davis has now won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards. She finally won her Grammy last night for best audiobook, narration, and storytelling recording for her memoir “Finding Me. The memoir tackles her difficult childhood, trauma, and struggle and continues through her journey of healing and artistic achievement. With this momentous win, Davis is now the 18th person to complete the EGOT. Her other wins were an Emmy for How to Get Away With Murder (2015), an Oscar for Fences (2017), and double Tonys for King Hedley II (2001) and Fences (2010). Just recently, it was announced during James Gunn’s DCU lineup that Davis is returning as Amanda Waller to star in an HBO Max series.
