The Transformers franchise is back on the right track.

One of the movies I’m most excited about this year is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. It’s the sequel to 2018’s Bumblebee, which was a reboot of the franchise that started in 2007. The movie is set to be released on June 9th, 2023, and was on my list of most anticipated films of the year after The Flash.
As a Transformers fan, I hold a special place in my heart for the animated shows “Beast Wars” and its sequel series “Beast Machines.” “Beast Wars,” which aired from 1996 to 1999, offered a unique twist to the franchise. It featured Transformers that transformed into animals instead of vehicles. The series followed the Maximals and Predacons, descendants of the Autobots and Decepticons, as they fought on a primitive planet. “Beast Machines,” which aired from 1999 to 2000, was the sequel to “Beast Wars” and presented a darker and more philosophical storyline. The Maximals returned to their home planet, Cybertron, only to find it under the control of an evil entity named Megatron.
If you’re a fan of the Transformers franchise or just love action-packed films, you won’t want to miss The Rise of the Beasts. This movie introduces the Maximals, who join the age-old Autobots vs. Decepticons conflict on Earth, resulting in unforgettable and thrilling battles. The movie’s 1994 setting and the introduction of Anthony Ramos’ character make for a fully immersive experience. Pete Davidson’s portrayal of Mirage is outstanding, and you’ll instantly fall in love with the character. His voice performance is as captivating as Bumblebee’s, making him a fan favorite. The film takes on a more serious tone once Peter Cullen’s Optimus Prime appears. Cullen’s iconic voice is truly what makes these live-action films successful.
I highly recommend watching this movie on the largest screen possible.
This will allow you to fully appreciate the intricate character designs. The reboot has made a conscious effort to deviate from the Michael Bay films. It shows in the attention to detail and respect for the source material. The action is more crisp and clear. The classic generation 1 Transformer designs are a major draw for longtime fans. The bar has been raised for the franchise and its future looks extremely bright thanks to the film’s heart which serves as a love letter to the classic cartoons.
Verdict
I give Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 4.5 out of 5 stars. It is the best film in the franchise since the first film was released in 2007. It felt like watching a Transformers movie for the first time and delivering a mind-blowing scene that will change these films forever! Read more Reviews on Nerdtropolis and Subscribe to our YouTube.
