Bob Iger confirms sequels for Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia are coming.

Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger has announced Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootoia sequels. During the company’s earnings call, Iger stated that sequels are happening for their hit animated franchises, in which the above films were mentioned. The fourth Toy Story film was released in 2019 and was supposedly the final installment. Now Tim Allen has returned as Buzz Lightyear, as he announced on Twitter. However, with how the last film ended, it is yet to be known if Tom Hanks as Woody will return.

The previous Frozen film also came out in 2019 and was a box-office hit. Josh Gad as Olof and Kristina Bell as Anna are expected to return. The final film sequel announced was for Zootopia, which recently received a DIsney+ shorts treatment. The 2016 film starring Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman has been overdue for a sequel. On top of the movie news, an Avatar-inspired experience will be coming to Disneyland, which Orlando’s Disney World already has. Unfortunately, all this comes as Disney lays off 7,000 employees, roughly 3% of their workforce.
