We chatted with actor Tony Todd to discuss his upcoming work.

Buffalo 8’s newest action-thriller, ALL GONE WONG featuring Tony Todd, is from first-time feature writer/director Josh Guffey. Additionally, the film also stars Jake Kaufman as the film’s protagonist. Starting tomorrow, you can watch All Gone WRong on Apple TV+, iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Google Play, and Cable On Demand. We chatted with Todd about the new independent film, his upcoming role voicing Venom in Spider-Man 2, and dive into his Nerdy side.
All Gone Wrong Synopsis
After a rookie undercover cop is gunned down in a drug bust gone wrong, the veteran agent in charge, Chris Halvorsen (Kaufman), is put on leave. Away from his desk, Halvorsen begins an unauthorized investigation into the failed deal, leading him to a pervasive drug network operating under the surface in a rural town. Now it’s him against an ugly cast of characters and the town-heavy, Lamont Hughes (Todd), on a potentially fatal mission to make everything right.
All Gone Wrong premiered during the 2021 St. Louis Film Festival and won several awards. One of them was for Best Cinematography, and it is easy to see why it won. Levi Kirby, who was behind the camera, captured great shots of a gritty midwestern suburb that houses a crime boss. This movie never looked once like its production budget.
Director Josh Guffey has been working on this film for the past 15 years, which is based on a true story that utilizes authentic local backdrops in St Loius. It tackles corruption in the police force and drug stings gone wrong. Tony Todd, who plays a sociopath drug supplier named Lamont Hughes, praises Guffey, who is an up-and-coming talent, and says that we should keep our eyes on him.
Todd’s character is a crime boss who never gets his hands dirty and lurks in the shadows. That is until Jake Kaufman’s character, a veteran law enforcer, comes across Hughes and the entanglement beings. All Gone Wrong also stars Krystal Torres, who is playing both sides, Law X, who delivers a stand-out performance, Antonio St. James, Peter Mayer, and Pete Winfrey
Verdict
I give All Gone Wrong 3 out of 5 stars. I was impressed by the first-time filmmaker who put together an entertaining crowdfunded indy film. Pre-order the movie here, as it will be released on VOD and Digital platforms on January 27th.
