THOR: Love and Thunder opens at the top spot.

THOR: Love and Thunder starring Chris Hemsworth, opened over the weekend at the top spot. In just three days, it has made $302,000,000 globally. This is the best domestic opening of any THOR film bringing in $123 million. 2017’s Ragnarok opening weekend domestically brought it $122,744,989. Minions: The Rise of Gru came in second over the weekend. It brought it $45.6 Million, putting its global total to $400 Million. Synopsis
The God of Thunder is on a journey, unlike anything he’s ever faced. He is on a search for self-discovery. But THOR’s retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher. Gorr seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, he enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster. To Thor’s surprise, Jane inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty THOR. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
