Filmmaker Macon Blair breathes new life into the cult classic with the upcoming remake of “The Toxic Avenger.” Legendary Entertainment is taking audiences on a nostalgic trip with this contemporary reimagining of Troma Entertainment’s 1984 comedic action gem. The original was crafted by genre legend Lloyd Kaufman. The new film’s cast includes Peter Dinklage, Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Julia Davis, Jonny Coyne, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Bacon. In this reimagined tale, we follow the journey of Winston Gooze. He is an ordinary janitor who transforms into the extraordinary anti-hero known as THE TOXIC AVENGER after a catastrophic toxic accident. Armed with superhuman strength and an unconventional glowing mop as his weapon, he embarks on a race against time to rescue his son while thwarting the sinister ambitions of a power-hungry corporate tyrant determined to harness toxic superpowers for his nefarious empire.
