Nintendo’s most popular and successful IP got its cinematic debut with The Super Mario Bros. The film opened up with impressive numbers, bringing in $377 Million worldwide. Domestically it brought in $205 Million over the 5-day opening. The first film from Nintendo has had the biggest global opening ever for an animated movie surpassing Frozen 2. The Illumination partnership has paid off, thanks to its star-studded cast. The film features the voices of Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, and Fred Armisen. Read our Movie Review.
