The original cast of The Sandlot is returning for a Disney+ series. Actor Shane Obedzinski confirmed it who plays Tommy ‘Repeat’ Timmons. He told us about the plans for a series during a 30th-anniversary appearance in Houston. Obedzinski, who now lives in Florida and owns Times Square Pizza Co outside of Tampa, confirmed that the series is indeed in the works. According to a podcast appearance by the film’s director David Mickey Evans, the series would follow the original cast all grown up with their own kids. Additionally, we also spoke with Brandon Quintin Adams. He plays Kenny DeNunez in the movie and was also in The Mighty Ducks. He told us that they have been talking about the series for a while, and it looks like it is closer than it has ever been. DeNunez said, “It would be fun, and I am hoping and have my fingers crossed.”

The cast featuring Patrick Renna, Marty York, Chauncey Leopardi, Tom Guiry, Grant Gelt, Victor DiMatti, Obedzinski, and DeNunez is set to do two to three convention appearances a month throughout the year as the movie celebrates thirty years. So they should be coming to a city near you.
