Ren & Stimpy have a new home at Comedy Central.

Comedy Central has announced the return of the beloved classic, The Ren & Stimpy Show, with a fresh new take. The network’s commitment to adult-focused animation has led to this reimagination. It will tap into a treasure chest of intellectual property (IP) across ViacomCBS. This move aligns with their successful adult animated series, such as the recently announced “Beavis and Butt-Head” from creator Mike Judge and the “Daria” spin-off “Jodie.”
It made its debut on Nickelodeon in 1991.
The Ren & Stimpy Show quickly became a pop culture phenomenon. Its dark humor, boundless imagination, and critical acclaim captivated audiences. Although considered an animated series for adults then, the iconic dog and cat pair consistently rank among the greatest animated characters ever.
As Comedy Central sets its sights on this new series, fans can anticipate a fresh take on the misadventures of Ren Höek and Stimpson J. Cat. With a new creative team and the backing of Nickelodeon Animation Studio, the network is poised to captivate audiences again with the dark humor, distinct art style, and imaginative storytelling that made the original series a fan favorite.
