The Godfather: Part III has a new title and new edits

Just in time for the 30th anniversary of The Godfather: Part III, director/screenwriter Francis Ford Coppola has re-edited the final film in the Godfather trilogy. The new title is Mario Puzo’s The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone. This film achieves their original vision for the finale and is the finest presentation of the Corleone saga’s last chapter. This new version will be available exclusively to own on Blu-ray and Digital December 8th 2020 from Paramount Home Entertainment. The film will also debut in select theaters on December 4th.

The Godfather: Part III

The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone is an acknowledgement of Mario’s and Coppola’s preferred title and his original vision . This version of the finale has a new beginning and ending, and rearranged scenes, shots, and music cues. These changes and the restored footage/ sound are a more appropriate conclusion to ‘The Godfather’ and ‘The Godfather: Part II’.
