The Godfather celebrates its 50th anniversary on March 25th 2022.
Francis Ford Coppola’s Academy Award-winning The Godfather celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year. In celebration, the film will have a limited theatrical release. It will be in Dolby Vision starting February 25, 2022. You can watch it exclusively in Dolby Cinema at AMC Theatres in the U.S. All three films have also been restored for the first time ever under the direction of Coppola. It will be available on 4K Ultra on March 22, 2022.
The Godfather Synopsis
The film is based on Mario Puzo’s novel of the same name. The Godfather focuses on the powerful Italian-American crime family of Don Vito Corleone. When the don’s youngest son, Michael, reluctantly joins the Mafia, he becomes involved in the inevitable cycle of violence and betrayal. Although Michael tries to maintain a normal relationship with his wife, Kay, he is drawn deeper into the family business.
The film stars Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, and Diane Keaton.
