The Flash series will have a shortened final season.

Grant Gustin as The Flash is finally coming to an end. The CW series is getting canceled after nine seasons. The final season will be shortened and only be 13 episodes. The series originally aired on October 7, 2014, with a huge audience and tons of praise. The pilot became the second-most watched premiere in the history of The CW. The series also stars Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, and John Wesley Shipp. The ninth season of The Flash s begins filming next month. It is currently slated to air in 2023.

Series Synopsis
After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, C.S.I. Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma.
