The First Omen Announced For A 2024 Release

The First Omen serves as a prequel to the 1976 film.

20th Century Studios has provided a first look at its upcoming psychological thriller, “The First Omen.” It is a prequel to the iconic horror franchise. The movie takes place in Rome and follows the story of a young American woman who joins the church. However, she ends up facing a malevolent darkness that challenges her faith. As the suspenseful plot unravels, she uncovers a sinister conspiracy to release pure evil. “The First Omen” will be in theaters on April 5, 2024.

The film features a stellar cast, including Nell Tiger Free, Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Ralph Ineson, and the vBill Nighy. Arkasha Stevenson directs it and draws inspiration from the characters conceived by David Seltzer in the 1976 classic, “The Omen.” “The First Omen” serves as a spine-tingling precursor to “The Omen,” a film that left an indelible mark on the horror genre in 1976. As audiences prepare to delve into the roots of this malevolent saga, the prequel promises to unravel the origins of darkness, questioning faith and exposing the nefarious forces at play. The Prequel will resurrect the bone-chilling legacy of “The Omen” while weaving a tapestry of terror uniquely its own.
