“The Exorcist” has been an iconic name in horror since its inception in 1973. The original film shocked audiences and solidified its place in cinematic history. “The Exorcist: Believer” is a fresh chapter in this enduring saga, picking up the story directly after the groundbreaking events of the original.

The plot of revolves around Victor, played by Leslie Odom Jr.

He is a grieving widower who has been raising his daughter, Angela (Lidya Jewett), alone. When Angela and her friend mysteriously disappear for three days, they return with missing memories and begin exhibiting horrifying behaviors. Desperate to save his daughter, Victor embarks on a quest to find Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), the only person who has faced such evil forces. Chris’s harrowing experiences with her daughter Regan might hold the key to combating the ultimate evil that has descended upon Angela and her friend.

This latest installment, directed by David Gordon Green (known for his work on “Halloween”), features Leslie Odom Jr., Ann Dowd, Jennifer Nettles, Norbert Leo Butz, Lidya Jewett, and the iconic Ellen Burstyn. She reprises her role as Chris MacNeil.
