“The Burial” is an engaging and inspiring film that brings a true story to life with a compelling courtroom battle at its core. It is based on real events. The movie follows the journey of funeral home owner Jeremiah O’Keefe, played brilliantly by Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones. When a handshake deal turns sour, he enlists the charismatic and smooth-talking attorney Willie E. Gary, portrayed by the ever-charismatic Jamie Foxx, to save his family business. What unfolds is not just a legal battle but a heartwarming story that exposes corporate corruption and racial injustice. Watch on Prime Video!

Jamie Foxx is at the top of his game as the lead attorney, injecting the film with his A-list flair. His performance is convincing and filled with charm and charisma, making it evident that he’s having a blast in the role. His chemistry with Tommy Lee Jones is one of the film’s strong points. It’s wonderful to see Jones back on the big screen, delivering an exceptional performance that reminds us of his enduring talent.

“The Burial” strikes a perfect balance between drama and comedy.

It seamlessly weaves moments of tension and humor throughout. The film offers viewers an emotional rollercoaster that keeps them engaged from start to finish. The film is not just about legal battles; it’s about human connections, resilience, and the power of unlikely friendships. One standout performance in the film comes from Mamoudou Athie. He shines brightly in his role, adding depth to the cast’s ensemble. Alan Ruck, known for playing unlikable characters, once again proves his versatility, making his presence in any project a delightful experience.
