The Aristocats Are Getting The Disney Live-Action Treatment

According to Deadline, Disney is working on a live-action adaptation of The Aristocats. The animated original premiered in 1970. The live-action version will be directed by Peter Rabbit’s Will Gluck and by Onward’s Keith Bunin. It will most likely look similar to the the live-action Lady and the Tramp film from 2019.

1970 Film Synopsis

A kind and eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess, her high-society cat, and her three little kittens. Laughs and adventure ensue as the greedy, bumbling butler pulls off the ultimate catnap caper in hopes of gaining the inheritance. Now it’s up to the rough-and-tumble alley cat, Thomas O’Malley, and his band of swingin’ jazz cats to save the day.
