Tetris tells the story of the birth of the iconic video game.

Apple TV+ will premiere its latest movie, Tetris, later this month. Directed by Jon S. Baird, this film is about the legal battle to secure the intellectual property rights of the iconic game. It stars Taron Egerton and Toby Jones. The cast also features Nikita Yefremov, Roger Allam, and Anthony Boyle.
Synopsis
The unbelievable story of how one of the world’s most popular video games found its way to avid players around the globe. Henk Rogers (Taron Egerton) discovers Tetris in 1988 and then risks everything by traveling to the Soviet Union, where he joins forces with inventor Alexey Pajitnov (Nikita Efremov) to bring the game to the masses.
The upcoming Tetris movie for Apple TV+ is different from what I expected. This film sucks you into the 80s with its nostalgic backdrop. It features a high-stakes and dangerous story about how this iconic game made its way into every household around the world. The fast pace history lesson starts campy before transitioning into a dramatic espionage mission. After that, there are high stakes, twists and turns, and plenty of tension. The entire cast is impressive, with Taron Egerton leading the pack with a fantastic and enthusiastic performance. You will love this film if you are a fan of The Social Network.
Verdict
I give Tetris 3.5 out of 5 stars. It is an eye-opening story that explains how the iconic game came to fruition. You can begin streaming this movie on Apple TV+ on March 31st. Read more Reviews on Nerdtropolis and Subscribe to our YouTube.
