Tenet – Movie Review (Spoiler Free)

Christopher Nolan’s Tenet Is Here.

Christopher Nolan delivers another masterful film as he continues to show that he is one of the best in Hollywood. Tenet may be Nolan’s most ambitious work to date as it confuses and entertains viewers.

Synopsis

Armed with only one word–Tenet–and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.

Not Time Travel, Inversion

Tenet is the perfect movie to watch on the big screen and most importantly in IMAX as theaters reopen. Just be ready for a two and half hour ride that will entertain and put your brain to work. Parts of the plot did go over my head at times, but that just puts a stamp on how smart and original it is. As the movie progresses, you can easily put everything together as it comes full circle at the end.

The cinematography was amazing which was complimented by great scenery, thrilling actions, and impressive practical effects. The film’s score was done by Best Original Score Oscar-winner Ludwig Göransson who does a wonderful job complimenting all the scenes. You cannot go wrong with an all-star cast that consists of John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Elizabeth Debicki who all shine during their respective scenes.

When it comes to John David Washington, his charm and chivalry makes him the perfect charismatic lead. If you pay close attention to Pattinson’s cool demeanor and heroism, you will get the notion that he won’t disappoint us when his portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman is upon us. Overall this is an entertaining movie that is sleek, intelligent, and fascinating.

Verdict

I give Tenet a 9/10 and hope this film catapults John David Washington’s career. I easily see him taking on many more lead roles in Hollywood after this movie.
