Peacock is getting a TED prequel series from Seth McFarlane.

Seth McFarlane’s loveable bear is getting a prequel series. 10 episodes of Ted are coming to Peacock. The first Ted film made its debut in 2012. It starred Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis and made over $500 Million at the box office. The sequel to Ted was released in 2015 and only made $216 Million.

This series will star Max Burkholder as a John Bennett, whom Wahlberg played in the movies. Giorgia Whigham will play Blaire Bennett, John’s cousin. She is an intelligent and politically correct college student living with her Uncle Matty, Aunt Susan, and younger cousin, John. She’s not afraid to be outspoken and frequently clashes with her traditionalist family. Lastly, Scott Grimes will play Matty, John’s father. He is a blue-collar Bostonian who thinks he’s the boss in the family. He doesn’t like anyone challenging him, particularly his liberal niece, Blaire. Below is the synopsis for the Peacock series.

Synopsis

In 1993 Ted the bear’s moment of fame has passed. It leaves him living with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett, who lives in a working-class Boston home with his parents and cousin. Ted may not be the best influence on John, but when it comes right down to it, Ted’s willing to go out on a limb to help his friend and his family.
