Strays is the hilarious canine comedy you’ve been waiting for.

Get ready for a howling good time as some of Hollywood’s funniest stars team up for the summer’s most pawsitively raunchy comedy romp. “Strays,” brought to you by the creators of hits like “21 Jump Street” and “Cocaine Bear,” is finally available today, September 5, 2023, on digital platforms nationwide, courtesy of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. This live-action, R-rated comedy is a subversion of our beloved dog movies, promising laughter, love, and, yes, even couch-humping. Read our Movie Review!

At the heart of “Strays” is a tale of love, friendship, and vengeance.

It is all seen through the eyes of our furry protagonists. Jamie Foxx lends his voice to the fast-talking terrier Bug, who opens the eyes of a naive pup, Reggie, played by the hilarious Will Ferrell. When Reggie discovers that his owner, Doug, portrayed by Will Forte, is a dirtbag, the two dogs, along with the delightful Isla Fisher and the witty Randall Park, embark on an epic adventure for revenge. This star-studded cast brings their comedic prowess to the forefront, with director Josh Greenbaum steering the ship. Joining them are Brett Gelman and a delightful cameo from a surprise guest. It’s a true ensemble of talent in front of and behind the camera.

The story follows Reggie, who initially thought he was playing a harmless game of fetch with Doug. However, his world turns upside down when he meets Bug, a streetwise stray who believes that only suckers have owners. Reggie soon realizes that he was intentionally abandoned in the big city. With the addition of two more canine companions, played by Isla Fisher and Randall Park, Reggie transforms from cute to cunning. They concoct an outrageous scheme with Bug to reunite with Doug and give him a taste of his own medicine.

“Strays” promises a hilarious and irreverent take on the typical “dog movie” drama. It’s a journey home off its leash and completely over the top. Prepare for a riotous ride as these four furballs turn the world of animal adventures upside down. Read more News on Nerdtropolis and make sure to subscribe to our Channel.
