In the world of fairy tales, where happy endings are a given, Millie Bobby Brown, the star of Stranger Things, takes on a challenging role in Netflix’s upcoming movie “Damsel.” Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, an Oscar-nominated filmmaker known for his exciting adventures, the film offers a unique spin on the classic princess story. The film introduces Elodie(Brown). She is a princess whose fairy-tale ending takes a grim turn. Elodie discovers she has been set up as a sacrifice to a menacing dragon by her supposed Prince Charming. In a departure from the typical narrative, Elodie must navigate the treacherous Upside Down of this fantastical world, relying solely on her determination and resourcefulness. The story follows Elodie as she fights for survival in the depths of the dragon’s lair, facing challenges that test her wit and will.
