Lower Decks was created by Mike McMahan, known for his work on Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites. In the upcoming season four, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos faces a new and mysterious threat—an unknown force that is relentlessly destroying starships and jeopardizing galactic peace. But, as usual, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos finds themselves in the most unexpected situation. They believe they aren’t important enough to be at the center of such major events. Instead, Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford, and Provisional Ensign T’Lyn will continue to navigate their Starfleet duties, avoiding malevolent computers and even getting stuck in a few caves. Along the way, they will encounter both new and classic alien species.

The voice cast is impressive.
Ensign Beckett Mariner, voiced by Tawny Newsome, Ensign Brad Boimler, voiced by Jack Quaid, Ensign Tendi, voiced by Noël Wells, and Ensign Rutherford, voiced by Eugene Cordero. The Starfleet members who make up the U.S.S. Cerritos’ bridge crew consist of Captain Carol Freeman, voiced by Dawnn Lewis, Commander Jack Ransom, voiced by Jerry O’Connell, Lieutenant Shaxs, voiced by Fred Tatasciore, and Doctor T’Ana, voiced by Gillian Vigman.
