Spider-Man spin off movie will star Dakota Johnson as Madame Web.

Spider-Man spinoff film Madame Web has added Adam Scott. He is the latest of big names attached to the Sony film but may be the one to win fans over. Scott starred in the hit series Park and Rec and currently stars in Severance on Apple TV+. In addition, Emma Roberts was just recently announced. The film stars Dakota Johnson and features Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, and Tahar Rahim. Director S.J. Clarkson will helm the movie. Madame Web is Roberts’ first Marvel movie, best known for American Horror Story, The Hunt, Holidate, Scream Queens, and UglyDolls. The character of Madame Web, aka Cassandra Webb, suffered from a lifetime of blindness. In addition, she had many years of neurological deterioration due to myasthenia gravis, which she compensated with her profound psychic abilities, establishing herself as a medium. This is another Sony film giving a Spider-Man character a solo spinoff, such as Venom, Morbius, and the upcoming Kraven The Hunter and Spider-Woman films. It will release in theaters on July 7, 2023.
