Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Footage Revealed at CinemaCon

During CinemaCon, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller shared 15 minutes of footage from the upcoming sequel. The new release date for Across The Universe is June 2, 2023. Part two is titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse and has a March 29, 2024 release date. This animated movie has the largest crew ever, with 1,000 people working on it. It also features 240 characters and takes place in six universes.

The footage shown is set on Earth 65 when Spider Gwen meets Spider-Man 2099 during her battle with Vulture. Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman who is visibly pregnant, shows up to join in the fight on a motorcycle. A helicopter falls from the sky, and Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man 2099’s Miguel O’Hara use their webs to prevent a helicopter from falling. Gwen’s Father who is a cop is at the scene to apprehend her but she unmasks her self before running off with Miguel and Jessica. Footage continues to Miles Morales’ Earth, where he and his parents meet with his school principal where his Spidey senses goes off, and he leaves.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.
