Spider-Gwen Series Will Dive Into Gwen’s Musical Side

A new era of Spider-Gwen arrives this December.

Fans of the Spider-Verse can gear up for a captivating new adventure with the upcoming limited series, “SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH.” Talented writer Melissa Flores pens the series. She is known for her work on “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” and “Women of Marvel.” The artwork is brought to life by the skilled hands of artist Enid Balám, acclaimed for “Kate Bishop: Hawkeye.” This new series promises to be a thrilling ride through the unique world of Earth-65.

The focal point of the story is none other than Gwen Stacy. She is the iconic hero known as Ghost-Spider, who will find herself facing an unexpected challenge in her native dimension. The series delves into Gwen’s musical side as she embarks on a tour with her band, the Mary Janes. They are opening for one of Earth-65’s most prominent rock bands. Promising to keep the focus on the music and leave the web-slinging behind, Gwen’s intentions are upended when a mysterious assailant targets the headlining act, throwing her into a whirlwind of danger and intrigue.

Fans can anticipate a visual treat with Enid Balám, ensuring that the vibrant world of Earth-65 is brought to life in stunning detail. The main cover by David Nakayama and variant covers by Elizabeth Torque and Peach Momoko’s Foil Variant Cover will undoubtedly capture the essence of the series. Pick up your copy on December 14th, 2023.
