Spice World, the feature film Spice Girls film, came out 25 years ago today.

The Spice Girls’ feature film Spice World hit theaters in the USA twenty-five years ago today, on January 23rd, 1998. The pop girl group members would all play themselves in the musical comedy directed by Bob Spiers. At the time, it was the highest-ever weekend debut for Super Bowl weekend. It brought in a total box office of $100 Million. The films featured the core members Victoria Adams (“Posh Spice”), Melanie Brown (“Scary Spice”), Emma Bunton (“Baby Spice”), Melanie C (“Sporty Spice”), and Geri Halliwell (“Ginger Spice”). The additional cast featured Richard E. Grant, Alan Cumming, George Wendt, Claire Rushbrook, and Mark McKinney, along with dozens of celebrity cameos.
