Salem’s Lot Novel By Stephen King Getting New Film Adaption

Salem’s Lot will be produced by James Wan and stay as close as possible to the novel.

Salem’s Lot, the 1975 novel by Stephen King, is getting another film adaptation. Tobe Hooper directed Texas Chain Saw Massacre and was the first to tackle Salem’s Lot in 1979. There was also a 2004 mini-series. Salem’s Lot was King’s second novel. James Wan will be producing this Warner Bros/New Line adaptation. The director is Gary Dauberman, known for It, The Nun, and Annabelle Comes Home. The film’s cast features Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, Bill Camp, John Benjamin Hickey, Nicholas Crovetti, Jordan Preston Carter, William Sadler, Spencer Treat Clark, Cade Woodward, Debra Christofferson, and Pilou Asbaek. Synopsis

Haunted by an incident from his childhood, author Ben Mears returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot. He is in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover the town is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire and his Loyola servant.
