Disney’s classic animated tale Peter Pan turns 70.

Disney’s Peter Pan was released 70 years ago today. The 953 animated adventure fantasy film adapted J. M. Barrie’s play. The film featured the voices of Bobby Driscoll, Kathryn Beaumont, Hans Conried, and Bill Thompson. It has grossed $87,404,651 worldwide to date. A live-action film will be released this year. It stars Alexander Molony as Peter Pan and Ever Anderson as Wendy Darling. Yara Shahidi, Jim Gaffigan, Alan Tudyk, Molly Parker, and Jude Law also star in the upcoming film set to premiere on Disney+.
Synopsis
Wendy (Kathryn Beaumont) and her two brothers are amazed when a magical boy named Peter Pan (Bobby Driscoll) flies into their bedroom, supposedly in pursuit of his rebellious shadow. He and his fairy friend, Tinkerbell, come from a far-off place called Neverland, where children stay perpetually young. Enchanted, the kids follow him back. But when Pan’s nemesis, the pirate Captain Hook (Hans Conried), causes trouble, the kids begin to miss their old life.
