Excitement rippled through the crowd at New York Comic-Con as Disney+ unveiled never-before-seen footage and first-look images from their highly anticipated original series, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” This special event, held on the Empire Stage, was a treat for fans and a tantalizing glimpse into the world of Rick Riordan’s beloved book series brought to life on the screen.
Rick Riordan, the series’s best-selling author and executive producer, graced the stage, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. The panel was led by executive producers Jon Steinberg, Dan Shotz, and director James Bobin. During the panel, they delved into the intricate details of the show’s production.

Meet the cast.
However, the real icing on the cake was the unveiling of first-look images of the star-studded cast. Lin-Manuel Miranda as “Hermes,” Megan Mullally as “Alecto,” Toby Stephens as “Poseidon,” and Virginia Kull as “Sally Jackson.” Notably, Jason Mantzoukas will play “Dionysus,” and Jay Duplass is “Hades.”






The late Lance Reddick plays “Zeus,” and Adam Copeland plays “Ares.” The cast list continues with Charlie Bushnell as “Luke Castellan,” Dior Goodjohn as “Clarisse La Rue,” Jessica Parker Kennedy as the menacing “Medusa,” Suzanne Cryer as “Echidna,” Timm Sharp as “Gabe Ugliano,” and Timothy Omundson as the ingenious “Hephaestus.”








The collaboration between Rick Riordan and Jon Steinberg promises to remain true to the spirit of the beloved books.
