To celebrate Percy Jackson’s birthday, Disney+ has unveiled a tantalizing sneak peek into the highly anticipated Disney+ Original series. “Percy Jackson and the Olympians is adapted from Rick Riordan’s beloved book series. The show’s teaser trailer promises an enthralling adventure that fans of the books have eagerly awaited. The series will debut with a captivating two-episode premiere on December 20, 2023. Synopsis
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” introduces us to the extraordinary world of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy. He must navigate his newfound divine abilities. The central conflict arises when Zeus, the mighty sky god, accuses Percy of stealing his powerful lightning bolt. With unwavering support from friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy embarks on a thrilling quest to recover the stolen artifact and restore harmony to the realm of Olympus.
The cast boasts remarkable talents, including Walker Scobell as the titular character, Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood. The ensemble includes acclaimed guest stars such as Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, Megan Mullally as Alecto (also known as Mrs. Dodds), Toby Stephens portraying Poseidon, Adam Copeland as Ares, and the late Lance Reddick as Zeus.
