Paddington is getting a much anticipated third film!

The third Paddington film will be titled Paddington in Peru. Dougal Wilson will be the new director of Paddington 3. Filming will begin in 2023 in London & Peru. Director of Paddington 1 & 2 Paul King said” After ten years of working on the Paddington movies, I feel absurdly protective of the little bear. I’m delighted that Dougal will be there to hold his paw as he embarks on his third big-screen adventure. He added, “Dougal’s work is never less than astounding: funny, beautiful, heartfelt, imaginative, and totally original. Aunt Lucy once asked us to ‘Please Look After This Bear.’ I know Dougal will do so admirably.”
The first film made its debut in 2014 as in 97% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
It followed the comic misadventures of a young bear from Peru. He has a passion for all things British, who travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck (“Please look after this bear. Thank you.”) and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.
The sequel Paddington 2 debut in theaters in 2017 and is 99% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
It had Paddington happily settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens. He has become a popular member of the community, spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes. While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s hundredth birthday, Paddington spots a unique pop-up book in Mr. Gruber’s antique shop, and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it. But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief.
Dougal Wilson who is helming the third film said, ” As a huge fan of the first two films, I am very excited (if not a little intimidated) to be continuing the story of Paddington. It’s a massive responsibility, but all my efforts will be focused on making a third film that honors the love so many people have for this very special bear.”
