Christopher Nolan’s next film is a biopic of J. Robert Oppenheimer. It stars Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer. He is an American theoretical physicist credited with being the “father of the atomic bomb” when involved with the Manhattan Project. The current cast includes Kenneth Branagh, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Josh Hartnett, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Alden Ehrenreich, and David Krumholtz. Christopher Nolan’s film is based on the 2005 Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer. Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin wrote it.
