One Punch Man was created in 2009 as a web comic.
The popular manga and anime, One Punch Man, will get the live-action treatment. One Punch Man follows the seemingly unimpressive Saitama. He has a unique hobby of being a hero. To pursue his childhood dream, Saitama relentlessly trained for three years, losing all of his hair. Now, Saitama is so powerful that he can defeat any enemy with just one punch. However, having no one capable of matching his strength has led Saitama to no longer enjoy the thrill of battling and has become quite bored. Sony Pictures announced that Justin Lin, who just left Fast X, will be the film’s director. Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner, who worked on Jumanji: The Next Level and Venom, will write the script. Production will begin at the end of the year.
