Nintendo Pictures Announced After Acquiring Animation Studio

Nintendo Pictures opens the door for a cinematic universe.

Nintendo has acquired Dynamo Pictures. They are the same company behind the upcoming e Universal Illumination Super Mario Animated movie. It will be released in April of 2023. This is possibly the first step of a roadmap for Nintendo to create films based on their popular IP, such as Mario, Kirby, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, and Animal Crossing. The deal will be finalized by October. Finally, Nintendo fans will be presented with a cinematic Mario movie on April 7th, 2021. The cast includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike and cameos from Charles Martinet.
