A new adaptation of the hit manga and anime My Hero Academia is coming to Netflix.

My Hero Academia live-action film has been announced for Netflix. The popular manga that became a sensational worldwide anime is Written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It has had more than 50 million copies sold. Toho Co., Ltd. will distribute the My Hero Academia film theatrically in Japan. The live-action adaptation from Netflix and Legendary Entertainment will be written by screenwriter Joby Harold (Army of the Dead, Obi-Wan Kenobi). Shinsuke Sato (Alice in Borderland) will direct.
Synopsis
Izuku Midoriya (AKA Deku) is a young high school student with an unfortunate flaw: Unlike 80% of the world’s population, he has no quirk. In a world of superpowered schools and larger-than-life heroes, it’s a death sentence for his social life. But when Izuku has a chance encounter with top-ranked hero All Might, he might have a shot at achieving his greatest dream: a spot at the prestigious U.A. Academy.
