My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising Movie Bundle

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising is now available on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital

Funimation has released the My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising movie bundle that includes the Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital download including SUB and DUB in the Funimation Shop and select retailers. Released in theaters earlier this year, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising delighted audiences and earned over $13 million at the box office making it the #8 highest-grossing anime films of all time in the U.S. Now fans can own the hit film!

Synopsis

The number one hero anime, My Hero Academia, is back for a battle beyond anything fans have ever seen! Class 1-A visits Nabu Island where they finally get to do some real hero work. The place is so peaceful that it’s more like a vacation … until they’re attacked by a villain with an unfathomable Quirk! His power is eerily familiar, and it looks like Shigaraki had a hand in the plan. But with All Might retired and citizens’ lives on the line, there’s no time for questions. Deku and his friends are the next generation of heroes, and they’re the island’s only hope.

Earned over $13 million at the box office.

I went into the movie with high expectations, and was left extremely impressed. The writers did a great job building a canon story that takes place ahead of the current anime timeline without any real spoilers.

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising Movie Review

The majority of the movie wonderfully showcases every character in each of their respective roles. I appreciate that it highlights everyone rather than just focusing on the sole protagonist throughout. It isn’t until the latter part of the movie that it truly hones in on Deku. The movie is about Class 1-A taking on real hero work on a small island off the coast of Japan. As with the show, the movie delivers a compelling story. However, where Heroes Rising truly shines is in the action sequences. They really outdid themselves with the high quality and intense fighting that makes the anime so fun to watch.

Verdict

I give My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising a 9/10 rating and I intend to watch it again!
