The Lion King hit me in the feels
The 1994 animated Lion King movie was one of my favorites growing up and this version was visually amazing!
Synopsis
Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny on the plains of Africa. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother — and former heir to the throne — has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is soon ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. Now, with help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba must figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his and become The Lion King.
All the scenes and animals were beautifully done and it was great to have James Earl Jones back as Mufasa. There are some changes and added scenes but the new A-List cast did an amazing job and we get our favorite songs and lines throughout this re-imagining of one of Disney’s most popular animated films.
I give it a 8.5/10 and recommend taking the whole family this weekend to watch it!
