Extraction – Movie Review (Spoiler Free)

Chris Hemsworth plays Tyler Rake in Extraction. He is a fearless black market mercenary with nothing left to lose. One day his skills are put to use to rescue the son of an international crime lord. But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible, forever altering the lives of Rake and the boy. Extractions is an action-packed, edge-of-your-seat thriller. It is by director Sam Hargrave. The producers behind this film are non-other than Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, the visionary directors of Avengers: Endgame.

Extraction does not take too long to jump right into the dark plot and action, which is non-stop and filled with plenty of blood, firepower, and big explosions. The continuous fight scenes and car chases are film very realistic due to the guerilla style of filming. These scenes look good and showcase practical effects in cinema. The movie is a wild ride that will keep your attention with its blockbuster quality. This film is accompanied by a few twists and turns that I was not expecting. Along the way, you are hit with a surprise appearance from an actor everyone knows and loves. Chris Hemsworth, as a mercenary for hire, is highly believable. I hope we get more action movies featuring Hemsworth locked and loaded.
