Aladdin – Movie Review (Spoiler Free)

Disney’s Live Action Aladdin Movie

I just got done watching the live action Aladdin movie and I truly enjoyed it! The 1992 animated movie was one of my all time favorites when I was a kid and this version did a good job.

Aladdin is a lovable street urchin who meets Princess Jasmine, the beautiful daughter of the sultan of Agrabah. While visiting her exotic palace, Aladdin stumbles upon a magic oil lamp that unleashes a powerful, wisecracking, larger-than-life genie. As Aladdin and the genie start to become friends, they must soon embark on a dangerous mission to stop the evil sorcerer, Jafar, from overthrowing young Jasmine’s kingdom.

Director Guy Ritchie delivered great action sequences and Will Smith was the best choice to play Genie. I don’t think anyone could of done a better job than he did throughout the movie. Naomi Scott(Princess Jasmine) and Mena Massoud(Aladdin) had great chemistry together and pulled of the memorable scenes as seen in the original animated movie.

I give it 8/10 and recommend taking the whole family this Memorial Day weekend to watch this fun Disney flick in theaters.
