Michael J. Fox nonfiction feature film is from Oscar-Winning Director Davis Guggenheim.

A new untitled feature film about the life of beloved actor and advocate Michael J. Fox is coming to Apple TV+. He is known for his roles in the Back to the Future franchise, Spin City, Family Ties, Casualties of War, and American President. The film is by Oscar-winning filmmaker Davis Guggenheim, known for An Inconvenient Truth, Waiting for Superman, He Named Me Malala. It is currently in production in New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.
The film, will incorporate documentary, archival and scripted elements.
Fox will tell an extraordinary story in his own words. It is an improbable tale of an undersized kid from a Canadian army base who rose to the heights of stardom in 1980s Hollywood. Fox’s account of his public life is full of nostalgic thrills and cinematic gloss. Also, it will feature his never-before-seen private journey, including the years that followed his diagnosis, at twenty-nine, with Parkinson’s disease. The film will chronicle Fox’s personal and professional triumphs and travails.
In addition, there has been unprecedented access to Fox and his family, making it intimate and honest. It explores what happens when an incurable optimist confronts an incurable disease. With a mix of adventure, romance, comedy, and drama, watching the film will feel like a Michael J. Fox movie.
