Mean Girls musical film is arriving in 2024.
Paramount Pictures is sending Mean Girls fans worldwide into a frenzy. This forthcoming musical adaptation is from Tina Fey. It promises a fresh take on the beloved modern classic that has captured hearts for years. The cast includes Angourie Rice, Auli’i Cravalho, Reneé Rapp, Jaquel Spivey, Avantika, Bebe Wood, Christopher Briney. Also appearing are Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, Tina Fey, and Tim Meadows. The film is by directors Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr. It will theaters on January 12, 2024. Watch the trailer below!
In this film, we follow the journey of a fresh-faced student named Cady Heron.
She is played by Angourie Rice, who gains entry into the inner circle of popularity. This exclusive clique is under the command of the cunning Regina George (Reneé Rapp), along with her loyal minions, Gretchen (Bebe Wood) and Karen (Ivantika). However, things take a dramatic twist when Cady finds herself entangled in a romance with Regina’s former flame, Aaron Samuels (Christopher Briney). This newfound connection puts her directly in the crosshairs of Regina’s vengeful schemes.
With the support of her unconventional pals, Janis (Auli’i Cravalho) and Damian (Jaquel Spivey), Cady embarks on a mission to dethrone Regina and navigate the treacherous landscape of high school. In her quest for justice, she must discover the power of remaining true to herself while confronting the challenges of adolescence.
Die-hard fans of the original Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert, were treated to a delightful reunion in a Walmart commercial. The film, which originally graced our screens in 2004, took the world by storm. It grossed $130 Million on a $17 Million budget.
