Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical coming to Netflix.
The first look teaser for Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical is here. It stars Emma Thompson, Lashana Lynch, and newcomer Alicia Weir. It is a brand new take on the Tony and Olivier award-winning musical and 1996 film. The cast also includes Stephen Graham as Mr. Wormwood, Andrea Riseborough as Mrs. Wormwood, and Sindhu Vee as Mrs. Phelps. It will debut on Netflix this holiday season.
Synopsis
Matilda Wormwood won’t let the tyrannical principal Miss Trunchbull get in her way. Neglected by her family, the child prodigy turns to books and gets lost in the wondrous world of literature. Despite being mistreated by adults, Matilda discovers her special telekinetic powers and makes friends along the way, including her kind-hearted teacher Miss Honey.
