Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2022 Highlights

2022 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Floats and Balloons.

The annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was held today in New York City. Kids of all ages and parents were treated to tons of balloons and floats with a mix of pop culture icons. Below are some of the highlights from the 96th Annual parade.

Toys “R” Us Geoffrey’s Dazzling Dance Party

America’s favorite giraffe DJs down the Parade route on an all-new float, inspiring everyone to rediscover the magic of childhood. The giraffe accompanying the float is an inflatable costume worn by two people walking in tandem. Toys“R” Us is back & larger than life. It’s time for everyone to play.

Pinkfong Baby Shark

Baby Shark makes a splash in his first swim down the Parade route. Leading the way in sub-aquatic style are Mommy Shark, Daddy Shark, Grandma Shark & Grandpa Shark. The float’s underwater seascape features eight starfish & three different species of anemone.

Sesame Workshop

Sesame Street, the iconic children’s television show powered by Sesame Workshop, is helping kids worldwide grow smarter, stronger & kinder. This Thanksgiving, fans of all ages will enjoy seeing their Sesame Street friends as they join in the holiday celebration. This year, Sesame Street is celebrating its 46th appearance in the Parade.

Ronald McDonald’s Big Red Shoe Car

Ronald McDonald will cruise down the streets of NYC in his one-of-a-kind vehicle. Driving with him are his good friends Grimace & Hamburglar. The Big Red Shoe Car is equal to a men’s size 266 shoe.

Peanuts Worldwide Snoopy’s Doghouse

A cherished fan favorite, this float returns as mission control for the launch of Astronaut Snoopy, flying high above the streets.

The LEGO Group The Brick Changer

Behold the elaborate Brick-Changer float. Constructed with supersized LEGO bricks, this free-standing turkey dragon is a whimsical example of how kids of all ages are so passionate about bringing their ideas to life with this creative toy. Founded in 1932, this year, The LEGO Group celebrates its 90th Anniversary. The name ‘LEGO’ is an abbreviation of the two Danish words “leg godt,” meaning “play well.”

BBC BLUEY

This lovable pup from the global hit series arrives from Australia to explore the Big Apple for the first time.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Greg Heffley, the mega-popular star of the best-selling book series Diary of a Wimpy Kid, appears in Parade for the 13th time. Beware of the Cheese Touch! Things get cheesy in the third edition of this balloon as it makes its Parade debut to celebrate the release of the 17th book in the series, Diper Överlöde, on October 25.

Stuart, the Minion

The character from Illumination’s blockbuster comedy, Minions: The Rise of Gru, causes a little mischief as he makes his way down the Parade route for the first time. If you happen to be dressed as Stuart’s favorite food—watch out. He craves bananas that even a Thanksgiving feast can’t quash.

Toei Animation’s GOKU

The Dragon Ball franchise’s legendary hero returns to Manhattan’s streets. Dragon Ball, a Japanese anime series that first aired in the U.S. over 25 years ago, focuses on Goku, a Saiyan warrior who is peaceful, good-natured, loving & honest–many adjectives that describe the celebration of Thanksgiving.

Funko Grogu

The fan-favorite Funko Pop!-styled Grogu balloon commemorates the beloved Star Wars series The Mandalorian bringing adorableness back to our galaxy. This larger-than-life “precious cargo” is inspired by the Funko Pop! collectible.
