Len Goodman, Dancing With The Stars Judge, Passes Away

Len Goodman has passed away at the age of 78. He was a renowned ballroom dancer and choreographer. Goodman was best known for his role as a judge on Dancing with the Stars. He was born on April 25, 1944, in Bromley, Kent, England. Goodman grew up in a family of dancers and was exposed to the world of ballroom dancing at a young age.

After working in a variety of jobs, including as a welder, Len began his dancing career at the age of 19. He quickly gained recognition for his talent and became a competitive dancer, winning various titles and championships. He also began teaching ballroom dancing, which eventually led to his transition into choreography. Len’s choreography gained him widespread recognition, and he soon became a sought-after choreographer for television shows and films. Some of his notable work includes choreographing the dancing scenes in the hit film The Avengers and the BBC series The Vicar of Dibley.

In 2004, Len was approached to become a judge on the American reality show, Dancing with the Stars.

He quickly became a fan favorite for his sharp critiques and witty commentary. He continued to be a judge on the show for 28 seasons. His expertise in ballroom dancing earned him a reputation as one of the most respected judges in the industry. Besides his work on Dancing with the Stars, Len has also hosted and appeared on various other television shows, including the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and the British version of Dancing with the Stars. He has also authored several books on ballroom dancing, including Len Goodman’s Ballroom Dancing and Dancing with the Stars: Len Goodman’s 7 Dances for Life. Throughout his career, Len has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to the dance world. In 2011, he was awarded the Carl Alan Award for Outstanding Contribution to Dance. In 2015, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Dance Awards.
