Killers of the Flower Moon releases a new trailer.
Apple Original Films has just dropped a new trailer for “Killers of the Flower Moon.” The legendary Martin Scorsese directs it. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Lily Gladstone. This epic western crime saga is set to premiere in theaters worldwide, including IMAX theatres, on Friday, October 20, 2023. Watch the trailer below!
The film is set against the backdrop of the Osage Nation’s sudden wealth at the dawn of the 1900s. Following the discovery of oil beneath their land, the Osage people became some of the richest individuals on the planet virtually overnight. However, this newfound prosperity attracted the attention of outsiders, primarily white settlers who saw an opportunity to exploit the Osage wealth for their own gain. What follows is a chilling tale of manipulation, extortion, and outright theft as these interlopers did everything they could to siphon off the Osage money. And when all else failed, they turned to the most heinous act of all—murder. The story uncovers the darkest depths of human greed and cruelty, set against a burgeoning American West.
Love and Betrayal
At the heart of the film is the improbable romance between Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Gladstone). Their love story unfolds amidst the backdrop of unspeakable betrayal and unimaginable tragedy. This will provide an emotional anchor to the film’s otherwise harrowing narrative. DiCaprio’s portrayal of Burkhart will captivate audiences as he navigates the treacherous waters of love and loyalty in the face of unimaginable evil.
