Keanu Reeves’ comic book “BRZRKR” will be developed into a live-action movie by Netflix.
Keanu Reeves may be the busiest man in Hollywood. He can now add a successful comic book writer to his resume. Netflix has acquired the rights to both a live-action movie and anime adaptation of BRZRKR, Reeves’ first foray into the comic world. The Matrix and John Wick star will produce and act in the live-action film and lend his voice to the main character in the subsequent anime series.
The Boom! Studios series follows an immortal warrior known simply as ‘B,’ who’s wandered the Earth for thousands of years, committing acts of violent savagery across the ages. In the present, he finds himself employed by the US government, assigned to fight their most dangerous battles. In reward for his compliance, he is promised the secret of his mysterious origins and how to finally end his life.

Keanu himself has jokingly been suggested to be an immortal due to his prolonged good looks well into his 50’s. This will be the perfect role for him to play onscreen! BRZRKR is written by Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt (MIND MGMT). It is drawn by Ron Garney (Daredevil), with colors by Bill Crabtree (The Sixth Gun) and lettering by Clem Robins (100 Bullets).

There is as of yet no release date set for the movie or series. Reeves is currently finishing production on the fourth entry in The Matrix franchise. Matrix 4 will be released in theaters and on HBO Max on December 22. After that, he will star in both a fourth and fifth John Wick film, which is set to shoot back-to-back.
