Kandahar is the third Gerard Butler and Ric Roman Waugh collaboration.
The thrilling action movie Kandahar, featuring Gerard Butler, will be available digitally from Universal Home Pictures Entertainment tomorrow, June 16, 2023. The film was directed by Ric Roman Waugh, who also directed Angel Has Fallen and Greenland. We previously had the opportunity to interview Waugh. He will be directing the sequel to Greenland and the upcoming Cliffhanger 2, starring Sylvester Stallone. In addition to Butler, Kandahar also features Navid Negahban, Ali Fazal, Bahador Foladi, and Nina Toussaint-White. Synopsis
The story centers around Tom Harris, portrayed by Gerard Butler, who is an undercover CIA operative in Afghanistan. Following the exposure of his mission, Tom and his Afghan translator must make their way to an extraction point in Kandahar, while avoiding elite enemy forces and foreign spies who are hot on their trail.
Gerard Butler is a versatile Scottish actor known for his powerful performances in films like “300,” “Olympus Has Fallen,” and “The Phantom of the Opera.” His rugged good looks and charming presence have made him a captivating action film star in the industry.
