Jay Chandrasekhar Of Super Troopers, Co-Founds Vouch Vault To Create Positivity

Vouch Vault is Jay Chandrasekhar’s middle finger to Rotten Tomatoes.

Vouch Vault is the latest app by writer, director, producer, and actor Jay Chandrasekhar, a co-founder. He is best known as one of the founding members of the group Broken Lizard. Chandrasekhar directed and starred in the timeless comedies Super Troopers, Club Dread, Beerfest, and Super Troopers 2. After his film, Super Troopers, got railed on Rotten Tomatoes by “critics” but praised by the general audience that watched it during its Sundance Premiere and theatrical release, Chandrasekhar decided a new review system was needed.

Quote from Jay Chandrasekhar

When my film, Super Troopers, showed at Sundance, it played to big laughing crowds. But when it was released to the public, the reviews were only so-so. On Rotten Tomatoes, Super Troopers, got a 38%-fresh aggregate score from less than a hundred reviewers. With the public, though, the film garnered a 90% fresh rating from more than 250,000 non-reviewers. This 38% reviewer-number stuck in my craw. I remember thinking, “Who are these reviewers, these strangers with outsized power, and why are we listening to them? Seriously. When’s the last time you walked up to a stranger and said, “Hey, what movie should I see?”

Vouch Vault app is a positive review platform.

What is so great about it is that it is TROLL FREE. It provides positive reviews, making giving and discovering recommendations easy, fun, and productive. Chandrasekhar has said this app is the Instagram of recommendations. It is a collective memory bank of all the great pop culture pieces. I stumbled upon the app via a tweet from Jay Chandrasekhar. I immediately downloaded the app, quickly familiarized myself with it, and made my first “Vouch.” You can find my account, as seen below, by searching Seantaj. Furthermore, you will soon see the entire 4,000+ Nerdtropolis Community using the Vouch Vault app.

The app is something I visit daily. I post my movie vouches as often as possible, especially if it is something I recently was able to review. In addition, I have Vouched vehicles that I have been sent to test drive and review via WHM Automotive Media. This week I had the opportunity to chat with two of the three co-founders of the latest app, Vouch Vault, Eric Colbert and Jay Chandrasekhar. You can watch below. Also you can listen in Podcast form on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Google Podcasts.
